MICHELLE "DENI" MASSEY

Michelle “Deni” Massey was born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia. She went to a high school for gifted students before attending the University of Georgia on scholarship where she double majored in Criminal Justice and Sociology. During her undergrad education, she was an exchange student in Sydney, Australia where she studied at University of Sydney for a year. After college, she attended Officer Candidate School for the US Navy, but suffered an injury before graduating. When she returned home, she started studying for her master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, before switching her attention to legal studies after she was reminded she was voted “Most Likely to Be a Lawyer” multiple times throughout her educational studies.
Deni applied and received a scholarship to Penn State Law in State College, Pennsylvania. Despite never having lived in Florida, she spent her first summer of law school at the West Palm Beach Public Defender’s Office splitting her time between the Juvenile and Felony divisions. She also has experience working for both plaintiffs and defendants with a specialty in personal injury law. She hopes to one day have a specialty in maritime/admiralty law. She currently lives in West Palm Beach and enjoys doing almost anything outside, especially on the water.
